Emmanuel Gargan
Assassinated by IPLO on 21 March 1987

The IPLO killed Emmanuel Gargan, aged 25, in a bar in Belfast following the 15 March killing of Gerard Steenson.

Gargan, who had earlier survived an attempt on his life, was still on crutches when he was shot in the head by a masked IPLO gunman on the same day Kevin Barry Duffy was killed by the IPLO.

Both Gargan and Duffy were engaged in the INLA's efforts to protect itself from IPLO's attempt to destroy the Irish Republican Socialist Movement.
